Re: New registrations re-enabled (edited)

On October 1 I deleted a bunch of spammers out of our user listings. Registration has also changed to admin approval and I will be checking them carefully. Hopefully this will put a stop to this nonsense.

Thanks to our moderator carseman for bringing this to my attention.

Re: Access violation

While I can't debug specific instances of this without more detail, I will tell you all that I have noticed this issue when various display monitors are enabled or disabled on a computer (primary or secondary ones). BUFR status - Europe etc

I recently did a search of open directories carrying BUFR data and found that Iowa State now appears to have it. Even if this goes offline, this tells me that the data is likely on NOAAPORT and justifies the possibility of me setting up a NOAAPORT receiver here to distribute data to Digital ...

Re: Europe synops on COD and NIU

One of you all might want to look into whether they're transitioning any of that to BUFR, as with what happened with some of the upper air data.

I will be providing a solution for this soon.

Re: Colored terrain underlay used in Forecast Center maps

It is the same as one of the default planetary maps but was processed in Photoshop to shift the contrasts around.

You can right-click this and save it to the planetary directory.

Re: European Users

We looked at fixing BUFR and the problem is the specification is enormously (ridiculously) complicated, so it can't be built natively into Digital Atmosphere. Also when I started looking around I was having trouble finding the BUFR data itself, since it is binary. So not many datastreams choose to ...
