Try adding an "import" command after your "load" command: import,C:\Program Files\DigitalAtmosphereWS\Texas.dmf So you would have: ERASE load,C:\Program Files\DigitalAtmosphereWS\Texas.dmf import,C:\Program Files\DigitalAtmosphereWS\Texas.dmf analyze,OVER FILL COLOR=255:202:235 G...

Suggestion: discard old radar data

When plotting radar data, especially with multiple stations on the same map or with scripting, it would be nice if DA could be configured to discard data from stations older than a specified number of minutes, or have a time selection feature similar to the one for METAR and upper air data. Radars g...

For no apparent reason, this error stopped occurring shortly after I posted it here, so I suspect it was a problem with the data source I was using rather than DAF. I'll continue to keep my eye out for it though.

I don`t know whether Fusion is stable enough yet for automated scripting? I have been using Fusion (the "c" version) for automated scripting and uploading to my webpage for a few weeks now. It's worked well enough for my purposes - the only problems I have encountered are the occasional I...

Downloading results in I/O error 32

Sometimes, when I download METAR or CWOP data, as soon as the download finishes an error pops up: Digital Atmosphere encountered an error: I/O error 32 Re-starting DAF fixes the problem - after the restart I am able to download, ingest, and plot the same file as before without any errors. But inevit...

Spontaneous Shutdown

Every once in a while, Digital Atmosphere shuts itself down for no apparent reason. Usually I notice this because I leave it running overnight or while I'm at work during the day, with scripts that generate maps every few minutes, but after some (seemingly random) time I notice the maps have stopped...

Yeah, they're rating the Stoughton tornado an F3... on the ground for 40 minutes, path length 17 miles, maximum width 1/2 mile. The amazing thing about that 1/2 mile width for me is, my in-laws' house and my church are separated by about half a mile... everything between them is pretty much gone, fr...

Saw My First Tornado

We had quite an outbreak of tornadoes here in southern Wisconsin this evening... one touched down only a few miles from our house; fortunately it was moving away from us. I managed to get a few pictures... they are posted to my website at http://webpages.charter.net/figarocat/.

Yes, I've seen the same thing... DAWS will spontaneously close or generate errors after running radar scripts every 6 minutes for a few hours. I'm also running Windows XP with 1GB of RAM. On my old computer (Win98/128 MB RAM) I'd get errors due to memory filling up, so it seems there are definitely ...

A couple of bugs with plotting METAR data: 1. If a station is missing both temperature and dew point, it seems to fool the "Data Plot Crowding" control. To replicate this, find two stations that are very close to each other so that only one would normally plot due to the Data Plot Crowding...
