It's no good using Word. You need a text editor like Notepad on Windows. Open the file up in Notepad, and use the space bar to move along to enter the details. Make sure that there are no extra spaces and that everything lines up otherwise it wont work. It's deffo the digatmos.CTY file. that ...

The easiest way is to use the Map/Addoverlay/Cities function. Look up the format using a text editor in File explorer of the digatmos.cty file. It will then plot using the coordinates you have given in the styles format that is currently selected. So to put 50N 10W on the map enter 50N10W ...

You are welcome Dave. I have to do the same with East Malling in SE England, as there is a drought of synop stations SE of Kenley, especially after the infamous Gravesend 03784 closed in 2018. East Malling is a climate station, data available on Ogimet, with wind/temp/pressure, and I use the same ...

With the current version V3.50, I cannot get it to import a MLID station table in any case. The only way you can get Almondsbury to plot is a manual entry in a data file, and pretend it's a ship. You will need to go into Ogimet and get the synop, as this station is not available on the GTS ...

Tim withdrew the upload facility a few years ago. You will need a 3rd party prog to do the job. I use Win SCP.
