Re: Strange map behaviour

I have chanced my parameters to yours to have the same. I also use Albany, so I guess I have the same dataset. I only set crowding on ~80%. Also thanks for the link. I did not know this one. I only read the less detailed chapter in the (old?) manual. Due to a lack of time this weekend (a lot of trou...

Re: Strange map behaviour

I compared both maps and the differences are indeed rather small. But there are (e.g. the low pressure area) and there should'nt be. Again, the analysis is based on the plots and not on the dimensions of the map. I used a scale of 2500. I am pretty curious what will happen in your area with such a s...

Re: Strange map behaviour

I’m not convinced yet. I try to explain my reasoning. I attach 2 new maps, 680*960 and 1280*960. They are made with the same data as the previous maps. This time I used Cressman for analysis. This hardly gave differences, only at the edges of the map. On both maps the plots are on the same place of ...

Re: Strange map behaviour

I just made new maps. I attach here the 680*960 and the 960*960. Look specific to the 10 and 11 lines.

Re: Strange map behaviour

It's a 23"screen, set on 1920*1080. It's not that the map looks strange, the isobars are on a complete different place, depending on the size of the map. It's easy trying. Generate the 4 maps with the size a gave in the first post and for each map hit the SLP button (and watch the diffences I h...

Strange map behaviour

Hello The last 2 years I have been very busy with moving from Holland to Vietnam and building a house there. So no time for D.A. Now the house is more or less finished so I have some time to work with DA again. I have V 2.09 Pro. I also have a 23” monitor now, so one of the first things I did was ma...

Re: The Hills are alive...(I wish)

Hello Dave It's a long time ago I worked with DA and satellites, but perhaps you can find some ideas in the article I wrote for the contest a couple of years ago. See http://www.weathergraphics.com/gallery/ After moving to Vietnam I am very busy with my house and I have not set up anything so I'm af...

GRIB from DWD

Hello Jeff I saw the heading of the message and was interested. I don’t use WINGRIDDS, but DA and I receive weather satellites via Eumetcast. DWD is the Deutsche Wetter Dienst (German Weather Office). Every day I receive via the satellite weather maps, satellite images and also GRIB-files from DWD. ...

Well, I wrote an email to Tim and a day later I had the link to the pro-version.
If you use XP you can always restore a previous version (as I did).

Greetings
