Thanks for the PM reply britbob. Indeed, IDV version 2.2 does depict fronts. Currently it is a release candidate beta, but it is scheduled to be released in the next few days according to staff at Unidata.

Odaat, IDV can indeed now draw fronts. Download the latest release from Unidata which has added asus fronts. Not too sure if there is a `hand drawn` feature, but you could raise that idea with them.
