Alan, are you still looking for the Radar Echo Summary Charts? That map is still available at NWS website. Here's a script to download using DigATMEquinox and auto print using Irfanview (great shareware program). You can't view it with DA but you can download it and print it. set,5,c:\Weather\Surfac...

Wally, My 'workaround' doesn't always work---sorry. I can't figure out why it doesn't always pick up what's in the .dtg file. I saw a post from Tim saying that's where the legend gets its date. I've even edited that file and deliberately put in an old date to see if it always picks up that date/time...

Plot Time Selection in Scripts
If you manually create a map, you can tell DA using the Time Selection 'MANUAL' option to use only a certain time window for selecting your observations. Can you do this in a script? I ingest multiple hourly metar files (ie. 17z.sao, 18z.sao, and 19z.sao), but I need to have DA (in a script) plot on...

It seems the only way to update the date on the maps is to download a file from the internet. When that completes, DA will change the file 'digatmos.dtg' which is the source of the date that appears in the legend. I don't use the internet since I use NOAAPORT for my data so at 0001GMT I run a script...

Problem drawing Fronts w/ASUS
I've been using the ASUS messages sent on NOAAPORT (CODSUS not the high res version). On many of the maps the fronts will plot but suddenly DA will draw a vector right off the map. Other examples produce fronts that zigzag but the source data looks good when I look at it visually and plot it by hand...
