Yeah, the label clutter can be tricky to avoid, and messy looking if you have tight increments.

Personally I would prefer them within the contours/isopleths themselves like you.

It`s hard to please everyone though. I`m sure I read somewhere that Tim switched them to the outside because people ...

Jeff,

I appreciate this is probably not possible due to limitations in the development software etc. I wondering if a map size option was possible some how?

Ie: We could produce and export images in the general web standard sizes of 640x480 and 800x600?

Thanks.

Unfortunately I think you`ll be limited to north america because the datasets are smaller like the grid 211. For Europe you`re looking at the global models which are much larger, Digital Atmosphere cannot ingest these large grib files/domains without crashing.

DAWS is very limited when it comes to ...

Still not working for me. If I try and download metars from COD or Albany, the datasets are empty.

This is with Fusion v0.6i.

Ps. Never mind, issue resolved. My windows clock was on the wrong time zone

Cod/albany surface data

Don`t know about anyone else (that`s why I`m asking!!), but it seems a large portion of surface obs for North America are missing. I`ve tried both COD and Albany locations, but the missing data is the same.

I`ve been trying for several hours, so I`ve shut down DAWS for now as my maps are churning ...

Yeah, this would be a nice option. Saves having cluttered up taskbars and also accidently shutting down the program.

I know there`s a bunch of apps for `minimize to tray` options, but I don`t like installing unheard of shareware applications (for obvious reasons).

Did you run any scripts before running that colourfill one?

I don`t bother running colourfill scripts, because for some reason DAWS can be hit and miss about clearing basemaps. Sometimes they clear, sometimes it overlays on top of the previous job etc etc.

Wow, any of those additions would be fantastic.

Half of those additions I doubt I`ll use though, primarily because I`m in Canada. So here`s a top five from me.

1 A) Surface & Upper Air Observation Ingest and Display
2 D) Skew-T & Hodograph Analysis & Displays
3 B) Satellite Imagery & Derived ...

Ditto...

Runs sweet :)

Looks like I got my Christmas present six weeks early! Thanks for the hard work Jeff.

Going to start working on a few batch files and some automated runs. Should be fun!
