Is this using the original/default station tables upon installation, as or the "updated one" I've posted?

Wally, Are you using 3.06a by any chance? I see a number of upper air locations not showing up compared to 2.09. For North America, WMO's 71081, 71908, 72649, 72558, 74560, 72469, 74389, 72501. And perhaps some others I'm missing. Would you know the fix for this? thanks Hmmm, I see them in the stat...

Interesting. Was that true for the original station file given for 3.x?

I am also working with 3.07.

It seems that the actual high res fronts on the servers mentioned above is

Yes. I get same error for MLID choice.
Just choose "restore default location tables." It worked for me. And, I see the new stations.

Latest updated station file for DA 2.xx and 3.xx I'm no longer updating surface.dat of 1.xx, and earlier. New stations since last update. NOAA has indicated that more and more they will be going to https - for general net security purposes. We'll see how long these last.
