All, I believe I have discovered what is causing the problems with the grib downloads within WINGRIDDS. And it's because of a capital "Z". Example from the NMB1124.DAT file: ftp://ftp.ncep.noaa.gov/pub/data/nccf/com/nam/prod/nam.%1%2%3/nam.t%4 Z .awip3d03.tm00 nam.t%4Z.awip3d03.tm00 If you...

Grid Issues

HELP! I'm not sure what to think about this but, it does seem to be an issue to me. Jeff, I think the problem I was having with grib2 files were related to the ftp program I use because I was able to get them to covert correctly this morning in NGRB2PCG32 without any problems when I used the grib do...

Jeff,
Boy...those NCEP folks are sneeky...hiding that in the backup directory where nobody would think to look.
Ya, except me. I will look high and low, far and wide to find grib data! :D

Jeff, Screen res. set to 1024 x 768. I never change my screen res. Always the same. I'm not sure if it would change the refresh rate if I did change my screen res. This issue showed up BEFORE I had run and animation (?!). I believe that this issue is related to the fix in this release that addresses...

Double Command line

Jeff, While checking out the fix to the contour displays I minimized the WINGRIDDS window and when I clicked on the WINGRIDDS tab in the toolbar and the WINGRIDDS window came back up I got 2 command lines. The bottom one seems to be inoperable. I have found that if I hit the erase button the 2nd com...

Jeff,

Here is where I'm getting the NOGAPS grib from:

ftpprd.ncep.noaa.gov/pub/data/nccf_backup/pub/data/model/grid/grib/nogaps

file names: nogaps_20061031##f***
##= 00(z) or 12(z) ***= forecast hour - see listing on ftp server for exact times.

Enjoy!

Kevin
