DAWS v1.0e 250mb bug?

Tim, The 250mb pressure level is showing literally dozens of errors for the height field...things like "20dam", "487dam" all over the globe, with data from multiple sources like Albany, COD, and Scripps. Could you take a look into this? http://img43.photobucket.com/albums/v133/te...

The eta.t**z.awp211**.tm00 files were used and tested earlier. But, as I said, right now(V1.0d) the GRIB module is not operational. At least, not with this particular series of files. Perhaps it works with others, but I have not tried testing them.

Try ftp://ftpprd.ncep.noaa.gov/pub/data/nccf/com/eta/prod/

However, be advised that the GRIB module is belly up right now. At least it is on mine.(V1.0d)

Hope this helps.

Michael,

I thought the same thing initially, but there is a way to make overlays "sticky", and that is to use the "copy markings onto basemap" option under the "map" menu. This will then make them permanent.

Hope this helps.

Hi Tim,

I voted for (A) initially, but after thinking about it further, it's more versatile to have the markings temporary but able to be "fixed" as they are now. So, I'm changing my vote to (B). BTW, thanks for the "copy markings to basemap" notice, I had missed that one.

Bug reports -- v1.0d

Tim, The county outline fix looks good, but it gets erased everytime along with the normal map data when performing the "erase" function. The same is true for highways. In addition, when saving the map with counties/highways overlayed, they don't show up afterwards as having been saved. Al...

V1.0D bug report with screen capture

Tim, After trying out the newly implemented analysis methods, I'm getting some very strange results. The screenshot below(ignore the massive jpeg compression) is SLP using the "Barnes" routine but Cressman and "Weighted" yield similar results. Also, "automatic smoothing"...

bug report -- V1.0D

Tim, I appended part of this to an earlier post but here it is anew and with greater specificity. Using V1.0D I import the following data file...[ ftp://ftpprd.ncep.noaa.gov/pub/data/nccf/com/eta/prod/eta.20040327/eta.t00z.awp21124.tm00] and the following displays in the status area. » Digital Atmos...

I played around some more with this and ran into the problems you described. However, as a work-around, I was able to create a new style that accepts the modifications as intended. You might try this if you've only been trying to change some of the included styles...but clearly this is a bug that Ti...
