Hi Rik,

I had some '%1http://...'in several URL`s of the Internet access
tables - so I got the same error.
Edit the URL and it works.
Another probblem is I have checked 'metric'in Preferences but on the 'Analysis-panel'is
only a position 'Analysis=Temperature (deg F).

try http://gribs.ocens.net/EastAtlantic.wind.grb.bz2 download the file, unzip it and import it by V0.41 alpha.
Take a map of europe and the color scheme "AWIPS (dark map)".
It works.

is it possible, to get the gridpoint values of windfields as numerical data, as it is in the output file "grid.txt" for temperature and pressure fields?

I have tested it with my Laser Printer "Minolta Color Plus Page Pro" with exact the settings you have given in your message and the result is great.
