What code?? The script is ready-to-run once you add / deleted any customization.

I looked at the data from NIU. There were numerous files, depending on the time, that only had a few stations (data) listed. Try using a different data source such as FSU or CoD.

Those look like the scripts I wrote several years back, THANKS for going back and incorporating them into one script! Nicely done! I love the legend that you provided!!!

Thanks to Laurier and Peter! I got to spend some time (because of an afternoon of rain!) to really take a look at the script. When I got it figured out, I came here to post my thoughts but they both beat me to the solution, with nearly identical anwers. Hope it works for you FColledge.

Its not clear by your question what you are wanting to do. Building a script and then running it automatically can be done.

MADIS has changed the way you log in and the method (now ftp I beleive) to obtain the data effective 12 May. I haven't played with it yet to see what needs to be done.

Quick thoought without checking, but does the "E" drive actually exisit? Is that the correct path in the script to create the madis.txt file? Is there a "space" at the very end? DA DOES NOT like spaces.............
