Well, RETRIEVE will get you wx warnings, etc. but how do we get them plotted?
Under DATA there is no longer any WARNINGS menu choice (as it was in DA2000).

It isn't in the menu like DA2000. Perhaps it will be added. Right now, the only "apparent" way would be through a script like product,p01,0,1 hr. precip but like some other script commands, I can't get it to work. Again, I hope it isn't another command "buried" in script-only ope...

Don, version "b" is SO far behind "f", I wouldn't really mess with it. If you want to get f, you may click here on my server: http://www.weatherroanoke.com/da-std.exe and for latest patch to make it 1.0f: http://www.weatherroanoke.com/dapatch.exe BTW Don, I think all versions (in...

Stefan, Thank you for the good information. Anyone with kids certainly understands the situation. I'm sure everyone is quite undestanding and supportive. In the meantime, is there ANY way you could relate to Tim that it would be really nice if he could just temporarily re-issue 1.0f again with the e...

That's http://www.stormtrack.org

Can anyone catch him over there (or wherever) and convince him to do a 30-day extension or something?

This is a bad season to be down and dry. Doesn't chase season run into June? I'd hate for DAWS to be inoperable that long!

Is Tim STILL in da house? Something must've really grabbed his attention. For a while, he was commenting every several days (back in March, early April). We haven't seen a word since April 15. (During this tornado season, I sure would like to be able to generate some more of the wonderful charts DAW...

Well, we're getting the 30-day "expiration" warnings now. I hope we hear something in the near future - :D

UPDATE (May 15):
By now, I guess we are all dead in the water. Anyone hear from Tim? :?

Won't close and CPU usage

I notice that after some scripts run, DAWS won't close when you click on the close box or on EXIT in the menu. If you repeated hit the close function you can see a small box flashing in the center of the screen, like some dialog or info box, but it doesn't appear for more than a split second. Task m...

I know I've mentioned this before - about the weather symbols not working well at smaller sizes. Here's a comparison for similar maps with DA and DAWS - BOTH using a 9 point font for the station info. Radar detail has some impact, but see how much more readable the wx characters are on the whole wit...
