Re: RAOB Fog Index

So far I received 2 suggestions. (1) Develop two Indexes, one for Advection fog and one for Radiation fog -- that is a good idea. (2) Use the moon phase as a predictor -- ha ha -- very funny.

RAOB Fog Index

I am currently developing a user-configurable fog forecast index (similar to RAOB's Severe Weather Table) which will consolidate a variety of individual parameters into one overall index. So far I'm adding the following parameters: Sfc wind speed, Sfc wind direction, Fog stability index, Fog threat,...

RAOB can now FTP - Up and Down

WOW. The RAOB Program just became a whole lot more powerful over the weekend. Last week it could only download sounding data via the HTTP method. Now, it can not only download data using the FTP method, but it can also upload files, including images, encoded soundings, and export files. This include...

Re: Skew T Script

The RAOB program can be configured to download and create skewt images at user-defined intervals. However, the images can only be printed or saved to file. You would then need to find a way to send the saved images to your website.

Re: Is RAOB available for Europe ?

Thank you for your interest in RAOB. To answer your first question -- RAOB can be used anywhere, even on Mars. In fact RAOB does not care who or where it is being used. It only cares what format the sounding data comes in. And if RAOB can not decode the sounding data given it, you can manually enter...
