POVIM Presentation Manager

The activities around weather and weather satellites consist of many different and often separate and independent programs. This often results in a messy system where it’s difficult to find files and automate processes. POVIM is developed to provide a structured and integrated environment. POVIM sta...

Same here. I use the e-version 24/7 for more then a month. I use easy scripts to add isobars etc. to satellite images. Only the earlier mentioned download-problems force me to restart DAF.

Load give the georeferencing data. After that you must give an IMPORT command like:
IMPORT, C:\Map\test.jpg

I see in both scripts more ingests. This means that you always have only the info of the LAST ingest!
Better is more downloads and then one ingest with *.dat.

Download

I run DAF 24/7 in batch. Sometimes (on bad days a few times a day!!) the download cannot connect to a site. In that case the screen “connecting” remains and the download does not continue. A few minutes later a second script, that generates maps, is started. This script will hang on a certain moment...

Memory problem solved

The good news of DAF is also that the memory problem of DAWS is solved. I generate every hour a couple of maps with a satellite image as background. DAWS starts using about 15 Mb RAM and after a day it's about 500 MB. DAF starts even lower and now after 3 days running it stays around 25 MB. Perfect....

I had the same error message with fleet. As far as I remember it disappeared when I downloaded and plotted the fleet interactive. After that the script performed fine....?????

Scripts

The BLANK-command in scripts does not work (same in DAWS). A loaded (satellite)-image will remain on the screen.

Generating maps

It is not possible to generate a orthographic map with
- scale = 370
- width = 1280
- height = 960.
The result is a blank map with 1 or 2 vertical lines.
I need this map for a satellite background.

Greetings

Fred

PS. Also in DAWS it's not possible.
