I have downloaded the 1.1d patch.... but the system crashes (range check error) when downloading hurricane track data (i.e. http://weather.noaa.gov/pub/data/raw/wt/wtnt25.knhc.tcm.at1 to 5.txt). Also very low pressures are not handled properly (high 1054 instead of low 954?). Denis Le Bihan meteores...

I miss the former 3D analysis section:
- cross-section plots
- 3D roaming sounding
They were very useful!

Also the Q-vector analysis is missing

A PVU (potential vorticity) analysis module would be handy (upper levels)

Yes, with "ALL" all data get plotted, but METAR and SYNOP reports are superimposed although they were not collected at the same time.

I am trying to map GRIB files for Europe and Atlantic I have sucessfully dowloaded into DAWS files such as: ftp://weather.noaa.gov/us008_gf081_04072606_HxIAx (or HxLAx...) It seems that only 1 time slot can be used ('most popular'). This is a problem when both METAR and SYNOP data (collected at different times) are present in the same incoming file. I cannot get a decent plot of vorticity advection at any level. The following script does not provide anything meaningful...

Any suggestion?
