wafs datasets at weaher.noaa.gov has barely any data

has anybody else notice that the wafs data sets at tgftp.nws.noaa.gov and weather.noaa.gov has barely any data? seems like the files are halve the size and have only windtemp data.

clear animation cue help

hi i've tried a anim of the gfdl loop ...it loop great ... but for some reason pcgridds32 puts the last frame of the previous anim in the macros anim... the weird thing is that when you do animations from the cmd line you wont get this prob ... just when you write macros animations ... any help will...

Jeff i've tried pcgridds32 on differnt partitions (differnt o/s)...right now I am running pcgridds32 on d partition w/no probs .... Ton if you've changed the file pcgmode.dat, you should be fine then.. Remember If you dwnld just the L and I octants then you must only use the choice that reference th...

how to fill contours

just wondering if anybody knows how to fill the contours in pcgridds32 .... (like ntl/garp) I believe its not supported , but I might be wrong....it would look nice when you animate the loops....

use this site to get euro data

hi To get euro and africa data I use octant I ftp://weather.noaa.gov/us008_gf081_04072606_HxIAx for analysis....and ect... If you dnwld octant L you can combine them to get the whole atlantic.. Than just set for example center lat 45.0N center lon 0n and display distance 35.03 and viola .... works f...

oh on the gridnames.dat .... this has to do with the old pcgridds ... you dont need it anymore

hum ... depends how you installed pcgridds32 .... i always partition my hdisk and have windows o/s sitting alone on the c partition ...(system runs faster)... now if you have pcgridds32 on your c partion, then you have to change the scirpt to reference c: ... about the temp subdir...
