XSCT 9999

All,

I have not been able to get the XSCT 9999 to work to remove a cross section path from PLAN view as described on page 98 of the WINGRIDDS User's Guide.

LOOP plan map stof LNDF LFO1 LFD1 LMN1 LLL2 LPL2 LTM2 LLN2 500 HGHT CI30 CLR3 FIL1 TXT3 00-H 500 MB HEIGHT FOR...

Randy, Hi, and welcome to WINGRIDDS. Hang in there man. WINGRIDDS is an awesome and powerful program. Don't under estimate this program just from a few casual meetings  . Working with grib and WINGRIDDS requires a little bit of education. I would strongly suggest to you and everyone who is new...

31st Anniversary of The Wreck of The Edmund Fitzgerald

With the 31st Anniversary of The Wreck of The Edmund Fitzgerald on Friday November 10, I thought I would post a few images created with WINGRIDDS of the weather pattern on that fateful day in November 1975. Still an issue

Jeff,

I have downloaded and installed the latest update and the NOGAPS & the GFS003 grids still don't look correct.

NOGAPS Grib files

All,

I have discovered where NCEP is "hidding" NOGAPS grib files:

ftpprd.ncep.noaa.gov/pub/data/nccf_backup/pub/data/model/grid/grib/nogaps

file names: nogaps_20061031##f***
##= 00(z) or 12(z) ***= forecast hour - see listing on ftp server for exact times.

Enjoy!

Kevin
