Board update
Effective April 12, 2021, we had to delete about 8000 frivolous spammer accounts going back over a year. There was no way for us to locate all legitimate user applications, so some may have been deleted. If you are an actual user who created an account since March 2020 but did not get approved, please register again. You can also contact us via the Contact link on the main Weather Graphics webpage to get assistance. When you contact us, it is essential you provide brief but detailed info on your meteorological background or inform us of any previous order you've made, this way we can tell you are a legit user, otherwise we will assume it is a spammer trying to bypass the application checks. Thanks. -Tim

abandoning the ability to import fleetcodes would leave european users pretty much in the cold :( As it is now , we have only two ways of having charts like the american users ( would ) have : - drawing everything in manually ( might as well get a finished chart from the net, less work - unfortunatel...

this would be one of the most welcome features , if not THE most welcome. I gather Ton has all the dimensions worked out , so it should be possible to implement this feature as one can create one basic standard to which both programs would "react " for lack of a better word . I believe Dav...

grib-data import freezes up DAWS

I´ve noticed the new DAWS 0.40 doesn´t allow importing grib-data files anymore . Anyone else having trouble with this? Especially when trying to import rather large files , DA simply begins importing , showing the hourglass , and freezes solidly : only way to exit it is then though windows-task mana...

Thanks a lot , Mike , worked like a charm . Is there a way of knowing which files are for which regions ( is there some kind of list ? ) ? I can imagine the AVN-data being much more comprehensive in its coverage of the world , but don't have a clue which file is for what region and which files will ...

and which data on this site is usable in DA ?? There's lots of different files on there and from what I gather some of these files can only be used in PCgridds . Would be nice to have files which can be used in both DA and GrADS .

can someone give us a few good sources for this GRIB-data ?? All the data I've found sofar is limited to windspeed and direction only . Once you want something more you'd have to get a subscription . There must be sources free of charge ( if not for the latest GFS/AVN - run , then at least for previ...

DODS-server support for DA ??

Tim , wouldn't be possible to incorporate the data as used by GrADS into DA ?? I don't know if there ae copyright - isues with this , but I somehow doubt it since the whole GrADS - software is offered as open source . This data is , as it seems , much more usable to make forecast - charts as it is n...
