You could try regenerating the basemap at the end of the script, although that shouldn't be necessary. Have you tried with a white map? The gray should only change the way the overfills look, so at a minimum the state outline should still show since they look to be a pure black....weird. You may als...

Beau, To get it to display temperature just add degf temp to the end of the first ten lines or so. Also if you don't like all that text, you can make it less noticeable. Go to Preferences, Styles, Legend block and change the settings to 1 and Arial, the text will hardly be noticeable. For dewpoint r...
