Wally,
I've compared 3.10a against GRLevel3 and the public NWS radar pages looking for dbZ matches, and the colors are better with the older DA versions. So I'm guessing something is amiss with 3.10a, but I can't be certain about that. Hopefully, Tim can clarify when he gets the chance.

Nexrad Color Schemes (discrepancy?)
Tim, When I try to transfer the radar color scheme I used in older versions of DA such as v2.09, to v3.10a, I notice that the colors, and consequently dbZ values, don't match up. As an example here are a couple of images taken with the same data but with the different DA versions. Is this an issue, ...

Wally,
Thanks for this updated symbols file. It's a definite improvement.

Re: Updated station file for DAWS
Hmmm, I see them in the station file (same one I've been using with v.2.0x for some time). So, are they not plotting? Maybe they are not converting to digatmos.s** files when compiled for some reason. I'll need to try to plot to verify. They just don't show up when they're plotted. The data's there...

Re: Updated station file for DAWS
Wally,
Are you using 3.06a by any chance? I see a number of upper air locations not showing up compared to 2.09. For North America, WMO's 71081, 71908, 72649, 72558, 74560, 72469, 74389, 72501. And perhaps some others I'm missing.
Would you know the fix for this?
thanks

Don't know how long this URL will be around but hi-res fronts can also be found at http://tgftp.nws.noaa.gov/data/raw/as/a ... od.sus.txt

Re: Vector Help
Not sure this is what you're after, but I get the same results using the following scripts. And as you stated, they're pretty similar to the SPC depictions. CONT CINT=5 LINE=2 GRTN=25 VKNT MAGN BKNT COLOR=200:100:200 STOR=3 SDIF=1:2 STOR=2 WIND HSFC STOR=1 WIND H500 CONT LINE=2 COLOR=50:25:175 CINT=...

Wally,
Could you add Canadian stations CYPO and CYAT to the list?
Thanks,
Bob

Re: Updated station file for DAWS
Wally,
I've noticed KCUL, KCVM, KTNY, and KNOG have been showing up in Mexico. Something you may want to look into.
Bob
