Re: Getting back up to speed

Thanks Peter.

The board still looks a bit "fresh out of the box" and I noticed it was even configured to let guests post (i.e. spam), so I am going to make a few changes to the board today to make it look better.

Getting back up to speed

Just to let you all know that I am going to work to get more involved with the forums. I had planned on doing that earlier this summer, but after taking damage from the May 10 tornadoes and moving into a new house, it has been an incredibly busy season. Then we had to handle all of the college order...

Status update from Tim

Hi everyone... sorry I'm continuing to be short on forum-based support but there has actually been substantial work going on. Unfortunately most of it is rather tedious, detail oriented work that takes awhile but has to be done. This work specifically has been updating the station identifier tables ...

We were notified about this several days ago and it is considered an urgent fix for the next upgrade. It does not appear to affect people with a default printer, but clearly it's not acceptable for it to bomb out like this. The problem with V2.00 is similarly related since there has been a default p...

Do you still have the file open in an editor somewhere? It sounds like DA is locked out by something else that is using the file.

You are welcome to just create a blank file in that directory called "data.usr". It only holds recently acquired weather data in plaintext format and Digital Atmosphere is simply checking for any content in the file. I have added the file to the build manifest so that it's present in futur...

Unless you all have comments about the issue we will be packaging further DA versions with the 39 KB meteo.ttf file dated 11/14/2003. If further problems are reported I will contract out the font file for repair work, as fonts are not my specialty area. I appreciate everyone's help in isolating the ...

What is new -- from Tim

Hi everyone... I have been extremely busy finalizing the the specifications for the new Location Identifier List format, which has been badly needed and will replace the digatmos.stn that will be phased out. Some information on this can be found at: http://www.locationidentifiers.org Since this is t...

The new point plotting format (reposted)

(I had to delete the post about v1.40d being released since it's outdated, but this information about point plotting needed to be saved. Here it is. - Tim) Digital Atmosphere Equinox v1.40d and later versions add some code to handle the Map > Add Overlay > Points algorithms. A version called v1.40c ...
