I've actually seen this happen with the older DA.

See an example here:

Sorry the state lines are 1 pixel thick, but if you look you can see the double mapping offset.

Yes, I can confirm this.
I generate US map, save.
Recall a Virginia map generated before US was generated.
VA comes up, plots, then hit erase...
Walla ... the US map comes back up.

So, it seems, that erase will pull up the most recent GENERATED map, period.

Version 1.0e Buoy plotting is not happening for the large part. A few are, but ... look at the comparison pics here... (same data/time from Albany, buoys only, DA and DAWS) http://www.weatherroanoke.com/DAbuoys.gif http://www.weatherroanoke.com/DAWSbuoys.gif They are important for good analysis near...

Version 1.0e Scripts that involve data retrieval still hang up. That is, the retrieval window just doesn't go away, and the script stops there. Script data retrieval is fairly important. Now that I think about it, and after having looked closer at the truetype font , I'm not as convinced that scalin...

Oh yes, a scalable on the wx symbols would be nice. Now ... if map is black (land), then radar just is masked out by the black. It doesn't come through like it does on light colors. Any chance the nexrad colors could be electable to be absolute? See http://www.weatherroanoke.com/testmap.gif Thanks f...

Just do a base map creation again based on your current map, resave it, and now the erase will work now. At least it worked for me - it is NICE to have erase work again.

Here's a crop of old and new depictions of wx symbols. Yeah, I knew you went to truetype. But that may be at quite a price if the wx symbols are forced to be that small or, cannot be independently sized (from rest of plot). I don't know how to include a pic here, so URL to http://www.weatherroanoke....

update

DAWS 1.0e Erase map still doesn't work. I get the white square at top left, and rest of map is unchanged. Reimplementing "undo last action" (we had in last major version) would help functionality in general use and expecially in troubleshooting and changing variables. Fonts for station plo...

I've had similar experiences - script runs fine for a while, then it stops in the middle of a run, usually right after radar plot, and before surface plot. It think it is a surface metar parsing error, because when I clear out all the output.* files, it still happens UNLESS I change my metar from CO...

Updated digatmos.stn file

At this link: http://www.weatherroanoke.com/digatmos.stn ... you will find a very updated station file for DA. It has numerous changes to surface stations as well as some radar site repositions/ID changes, etc. The latest round of surface additions (plus a few ID changes) include: Savannah IL Granby...
