Wrong thread!

Forgive me guys, this should have gone into Tim's request for work on the new version thread. I'll get it right one day! Sorry.

Regards,

Dave Exton.

Wet bulb potential temperature

Tim,

I know it's been said before by othes, but I'd love to be able to plot
theta-w on my European Charts mainly to help with frontal analysis.

(Forgive me if I've missed any previous anouncements in respect of same).

Regards,

Dave Exton, UK.

Thanks Peter,

I think I missed that one first time around.

I really should be able to have a go at this stuff on my own but it does seem a bit daunting, especially after your first few goes don't quite go according to plan.

Anyway,
Thanks again.

Regards,

Dave.

Request: Colourfill Thickness Script

Happy New Year to all, Can any Script Experts suggest a script for a 1000-500mb (and/or a 1000-850mb) thikness plots that depict a suggestion of temperature-blue for cold, red for warm, that sort of thing, either by colourfill or by coloured lines? I did start to get the hang of scripting but at the...

Merry Christmas To all Weather Nuts Out there!

Just thought It might be acceptable to wish Tim and Family and all the other members of the forum a very happy Christmas. The members are always willing to offer up any help that lesser brains like myself might happen to ask for. A real WX community feel. Thanks to a great bunch of guys, and again I...

Hi Guys, I'm sure I'm telling you you something you already know, but If you have a look for "UK Base map" in the DA forum, you'll see Weasel's own excellant maps of the UK and Europe. Pat's put together some fantastic maps with nothing missing and a lot of extras i.e. mountain relief, and...

Hi Chris, I can't give you a technical answer to the question, but I can tell you that the islands have been missing for some time. They never plotted on the previous version of DA either. A bit dissapointing, but something I've just learned to live with. It would be nice if the problem were fixable...

NMC/NCEP Raster

Hi Pat, Thanks as ever for your help! I've just printed a map of The UK and NW Europe on A3 with the plot density at 83% (my usual optimum). The zoom level is 1550 x 1150. Although the map looks a little crowded (I don't really want to take the density down), it is usable, and it is a little easier ...

NMC/NCEP raster

Hi guys, Can anybody advise me as to if there's a way to shrink the station plots when using the NMC/NCEP raster (in the File/Font mode)? I normally use DAWS default plots, but occasionally NMC/NCEP shows up precipitation types a little more clearly than does DAWS, the only problem being that the pl...
