Douglas,

You may be using one of the old e-mail addresses. I know Tim had to make some changes because they were getting spammed to death. Visit http://www.weathergraphics.com/contact.htm for contact info.

Thanks,
Ben

Digital Atmosphere comes with several options for most of the data types. For example, you can get surface METAR from COD, FSU, NWS, SUNY Albany, or UNCA. If you have problems accessing one site, try another one. I suggest trying your sources one at a time so you can find the ones that do and don't ...

Well, I suppose the first question would be when do you get this message? I assume during the Internet Retrieval. Try different sources for the data to see if that remedies the problem. If not, try your original sources one at a time to see if you can find where things go bad. It could be that the a...

Dave, I'm not sure if I understand your problem, but if the stations aren't listed in digatmos.stn, I don't think they'll plot. Try updating your digatmos.stn file (Wally Mayo has an updated file linked in this forum). If some stations are still unlisted, you can try adding them in yourself. Let me ...

This certainly won't be the "prettiest" of fixes, but it should get the job done for you. First, you'll have to invent some stations for your data (assuming your lat/lon don't correspond to existing stations). Put these in your digatmos.stn file (preferably somewhere were you can take them...

I can second that. Here at Purdue, the Air Force is heavily recruiting met students into the ROTC program. Several of my friends have joined.

I know this seems kinda obvious, but sometimes its the obvious solution that fixes things....did you check the syntax of your script? If you just copied it, there shouldnt be any problems, but something might have been corrupted along the way. I'm not very experienced with DA, but if you can pass on...

Local Storm Reports

If Digital Atmosphere can display local storm reports, I can't figure out how. I think LSRs would be a good addition to DA, since many users are chasers or are otherwise interesting in severe events. I know that LSRs don't always come out right away, but it would be useful for a chaser to see that o...

BUFKIT

Wow...so I just tried out the demo of RAOB5.0. I am in love (especially the 3-D hodogram). However, as best as I can tell, RAOB is only for actual soundings. I've been using BUFKIT ( http://wdtb.noaa.gov/resources/projects/BUFKIT/ ) for several months to work with model soundings. BUFKIT is very sim...
