Just did what you asked...still a NO GO get the same error file message.

I even tried the file w/out the .map extensions and it is still a no go.

Jeff, anyone;

I have installed the 2.1 beta files. I keep getting a mapfile error message. I have ALL of my wingridds files on my E: drive and I have changed the wingmode file accordingly to such as well as having changed my map files from WORLD to OTHER.

I'll send you the out file. FYI- it also happened with Non-WAF (regular grib data, too).

Jeff, I haven't played around with WAFs data for a while but did yesterday and today, using the autoftp feature in WINGRIDDS. I was downloading data for the L and P octants from BOTH NCEP and NWS servers. It would download fine During the conversion process from WAFS grid to wingrid, the conversion ...

I'll download some "old" ensemble files (not 184 hours worth, possibly only 160 hours, just kiding!). I'll pass the info on to you soon.

Jeff, The problem seems to be with the NCDC and NCEP servers that allow for one to create a grib slice. Alas these servers have been screwed up for the past 3-4 days both in terms of availability of data and/or one's ability to download the data. Once they are functional I'll see if I can duplicate ...
