Re: Several email no answer! Mr Tim Vasquez,
Hello -- the last e-mail I got from you was 27 September 2011, and it was all in French. I do wish I knew French; I had sent it to someone else to have it translated but didn't hear back. Your registration, dated July 2011, is still good with us and you are entitled to a key number. We need the seri...

Re: Getting back up to speed
The software is definitely not being neglected -- I use it constantly, and I do appreciate your persistance in sticking around with these delays. The issue is time, as I'm spread thin with contract work, books, and a 6-year old that we're homeschooling. That said, I don't want to be backed into a co...

I don't have a list of capabilities yet, sorry (that will have to wait for final release), but programming work has begun.

Re: Weather stations and identifiers
Thanks Laurier, Yeah, about the smaller stations, I'm starting to suspect that there is bogus information being fed into OurAirports.com and that some of the people who contribute to that site may be inventing identifiers or getting them from questionable sources. This conclusion comes from some ide...

Master Location Identifier Database (MLID) thread
As many of you may know, one of my current projects is the Master Location Identifier Database. I consider this a pretty serious undertaking as the global station network has grown and there is considerable emphasis on mesoscale meteorology these days. In an attempt to quality-control the database, ...

Russian wildfires
I will be authoring a feature article in Weatherwise on the Russian heat wave and wildfires from August. If you know of any weather hobbyists or professionals in Russia, please let me know as I'd like to interview them.

Re: Updated station file for DAWS
Thanks for all the work, Wally. The next version of Digital Atmosphere will ingest the Master Location Identifier Database ( http://www.weathergraphics.com/identifiers ), which has existed for the past year in a "beta" version while being finalized. It is now being updated monthly and I ha...

Tim's weather station
I guess I'll be the first to post here, though I don't really have any problems to talk about. I have my wind equipment 32 feet off the ground on top of a Rohn 25G tower. This gets it above the post oak trees that surround it. From what I see on the CWOP listings with many winds unusually light and ...
