Michael, I don't use Vista but have you tried running DA in 'compatibility' mode? To do that I think you select the .exe file, right click and in the Context Menu there's an option for compatibilty, so try XP. after saving it as Vector Wind Script.dsf

Have you tried typing the line VECT COLOR=0:0:200 WIND into the Scripting page - Analysis Command ?

It works fine in 2.09 both manually and from the Analysis - Wind pulldown menu.

Yes, in the UK they are on GMT of course so I download roughly a couple of hours after the synoptic hour, which is the GMT 6 hour intervals. I download Fleetcode data at 2100 for the 1800 synoptic hour and rarely had a problem. So I guess if you wait a couple of hours after synoptic time you should be reasonably sure the data is available

The script I use are placed in the programme directory. Therefore: C:\Users\Michael\AppData\Local\DigitalAtmosphere\download.dsf In other words in the programme directory and by doing so I have never had problem.
