IO error 32

DA has been running smoothly on this machine for years and all of a sudden I am getting an IO error 32 after the ingest is finnished. This just started overnight.

Years ago I remember some IO errors on earlier versions but this is version 1.1j3.

Any ideas?

Tim:

For those who don't know scripting it would be much easier to put back the automated menu as an option which the old DA had. Your product would have broader appeal to all concerned. I wrote to you about this and I thought you were going to make it an option in DAWS.

I have no problem with the High - Low situation. If you don't want to use the NMC font, uncheck the box under Preferences-Analysis and be sure to check save as default, otherwise it will return to the last default setting.

Can't help you with other issues.

Apparently DAWS has issues with W98 with map drawing and front analaysis to name a couple. I has a lot of problems with map drawing and fatal errors. You just have to keep trying different sizes..it's a pain but can be done. Another issue is coastal widths, some work some don.t.

More on the above:

It appears that the upper air scripts for "analyze" does not recognize the 00 GMT because it works fine for the 18Z data. Anyone else having this problem? Is there a way to force by entering some "all times" script?

What's worng with this script??

Just trying to do a simple upper air(500mb) analysis using the following script...The outcome however is that it plots the 12Z 500mb stations but nothing else because the analaysis is tryiing to use 00 data, which is not available. Do I have to enter the time in the script or is this another bug in ...

Agravating bugs in v1.1e

Tim: Still contending with some worrysome bugs that are leftovers from the beta days. I am using W98. 1. I use a US map at 38.901N and -99.141 W with 3000 mile scale and width of 1000 and height of 800. Fronts on this map are always accompanied by extraneous frontal lines over the entire width of th...
