ASUS 1 fix

Bob: It is with sadness that I must report a further problem with the workaround. I thought it was working fine last night, as the fronts plotted normally, but when I went to retreive the data at work, the non-frontal garbage had returned. I am stuck to figure out what may be going on. Any ideas? Co...

Dear me, I do believe that my point has been missed completely, and some feathers have been ruffled. I merely wished to point out that because DAWS is a profit making enterprise, Tim has the ability to make refinements and improvements to the program. In fact, the more copies that are purchased, the...

Pressure tendency function in DAWS

Dear Hossain 7422: I realize that this is not the proper place for a serious discussion of economics, and I beg the moderator's indulgence, but it is precisely because DAWS is a commercial enterprise that it is available to assist people in all parts of the world. I sincerely doubt that Tim is indep...

ASUS fix

Bob:
I tried your work-around for the ASUS01 problems, and I can report that it works! The garbage fronts and trough lines are gone. Thanks for posting it, as I really missed being able to plot fronts clearly. That was one of the reasons that I kept DA2000 still around.
Cordially,

DAWS v1.1 Final Release

Tim; I am so pleased to hear that you are going into final release with DAWS. I bet you thought that this day would never come. You efforts are apppreciated more than you can know. We all seem to complain and find only faults,(after all, that is what testing is all about isn't it?), but beneath the ...

500 mb analysis bug

Greetings: love the results from patch 'n'! It is nice to have the maps stabilized now. It makes it so much easier to check radar images when your base map stays put. Good job, Tim. Also, it was a nice surprise to find the color dewpoint command. Very useful! I am only noticing one ongoing problem. ...

PCGRIDDS32 fetch macro

Dear Greg; I am about as MS-DOS unskilled as you, but I think I might be able to offer some help. First off, if you are in Command mode, you are already in the PCGRIDDS32 directory, so that is probably why you cannot switch to it. I have run the fetch macro successfully by starting Command Prompt (W...

Map loading/erasing problem in v 1.0m

I've noticed this problem and mentioned it previously. It is more an annoyance than a real problem. I have v 1.0m installed on a Compaq Presario 900 series, running Windows XP. When I load a new base map, say, to look a radar data after checking weather data, the erase function does not merely erase...

installation difficulties

Does anyone know the recipe for humble pie? The difficulties I encountered were all the result of my ham-handed computer skills. All my problems arose from the erroneous installation. I created a folder labeled PCGRIDDS32, and unzipped the file into that. This caused the file commands to be input wr...

installation difficulties

Apparently, my joy was premature. When I followed the procedure recommended, I got the main screen, and I thought I had succeded in installing PCGRIDDS32. Sadly, I find that such is not the case. I was too busy to actually try to use the program until today. The program will not start from the comma...
