I believe Tim has been rather busy with weather conferences lately, so that may explain your difficulty in reaching him. That said, he usually checks his email fairly regularly, so I'm a little surprised with the delay.
Regarding the time-stamp...
1. Open your styles file(with a text editor) and add two blank lines and then enter the following:
a.) for the map time stamp...the PRM column should be set to 'stm'...without the quotes.
b.) the Parameter Name column will be 'Map time stamp'...w/o quotes
c.) on the other blank line enter 'stb' for the PRM column...w/o quotes.
d.) the Parameter Name column should read 'Time stamp background'...w/o quotes
Save your changes and close the file. Open up DAWS and you should find the two new settings in the styles tab-sheet. You can then set the other parameters such as color and font from there. I should also add that you can actually set the Parameter Name to whatever you like, the key column, programmatically speaking, is the PRM.

Bob
