Is there a special procedure for updating DA Professional to Equinox?

I asked that question one month ago and was informed that instructions would be out shortly(?). Still waiting.

There's no special procedure for changing from DAWS Pro to Equinox Pro. They are 2 separate programmes in their own right.
Download Equinox from the download page and install it.
Send e-mail to Tim with your DAWS Pro invoice details so he can check you are a registered DAWS Pro user.
Tim sends a link with password to allow an Equinox Pro Patch to be installed changing Equinox Standard evaluation version into an Equinox Pro version.
It's as simple as that.
That procedure worked for me :D

Hi Peter,
Has Tim done that with you this time around? My Equinox was about to expire recently. Tim sent me an ordinary unlock key (he knows I'm a Professional user).

Dave Exton.

Dave,
I can only tell you the procedure I went through.
I downloaded Equinox, played with it in the evaluation mode.
I wrote to Tim via the contact details on the website (Tim replied very quickly, which is normal in my experience) with my DAWS Pro information such as invoice number for DAWS, date etc.
He sent e-mail containing a link with user name and password to enable download of Equinox Pro Patch.
Installed the patch and 'away I went'.

Regards Peter

I just tried te contact form to send details of my registration to Tim for the Equinox Pro patch and the form will not email. It comes back with error.

THat's it, and his old email addresses are all deactivated, so I guess I'll post the details here and hope someone reads the info and gets back to me on how to get the needed Pro Patch file and some questions answered :(

Tim:

I've just downloaded and installed the Equinox Standard Version here
(60day eval) but I'm seeing in the forums that we need to write to you
to get the Pro Version download info. If you need it (don't think so)
the Serial # on the XP SP2 test station is DA4-4100-730556825 but as I
recall Pro doesn't use a key but a totally new file to patch it.

I'm curious. I installed Equinox in the same directory as the DAWS Pro
software and it appears I have both products, it sounded like Equinox
would replace DAWS Pro. How do I uninstall the old DAWS Pro and not
lose all the added content from the CD?

What process do I go through to convert my existing scripts and
automation over to running on Equinox vs. DAWS Pro or isn't there any
change there?

Do you recommend running Equinox Pro in a production environment here
as I have been with DAWS Pro - auto creating a large number of charts
every 3 hours. I ask because I can't afford to break that process.

What changes are there in Equinox that would affect scripting from
DAWS Pro in terms of the satellite overlaying and such?

Will there be a Equinox Pro CD available at all? What sort of cost to
obtain?

Sorry for all the questions,

Thanks!!

I also tried to send a message to Tim via the contact page http://www.weathergraphics.com/contact.htm
regarding the upgrade of my professional version but received an error when I submitted the message.

Well, it's now going on 10 days here and I've heard nothing.

It's not normal for Tim to take this long to respond, but without a valid email address to write him at I don't know what else to do??
