Time for a station file update.

SEE NOTE AT BOTTOM!!!!

These stations will NOT plot at all unless file is updated.

KRYT Fountain Dale PA
K09A Butler-Choctaw Co AL
KBBP Bennettsville SC
KMDS Madison SD
KGZL Stigler OK
KH78 OFFSHORE LA
KRYW Lago Vista TX
KDZB Horseshoe Bay Airpark TX
KBDN Bend Municipal OR
KCMR Williams Memorial AZ
KDYB Summerville SC
KGLY Clinton MO
KHVS Hartsville Regional SC
K4M9 Corning AR
KFDW Winnsboro County SC
K0F2 Bowie TX
K4C0 Oil Platform (Phillips) LA

Go to
http://www.weatherroanoke.com/digatmos.stn

Download, put in folder that digatmos.exe resides ... after you saved the original elsewhere.
Recompile in FILE menu choice.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
With latest version ... do not use this file. New version uses .csv table. For that, go to http://www.locationidentifiers.org/
I believe the latest .csv file incorporates this latest update (even though it says May).
If you are still using prior versions (like 1.22) that use (recompiles) .stn table then use this. It may be the last, unless there is a large clamor for it to go a little longer.

Ok ... for those still running versions 1.xxxx I have updated the station tables once more.

It is as
http://www.weatherroanoke.com/digatmos.stn

For those running versions 2.x

I have updated the location-identifier-list.csv file.

I'm not sure this it totally the right way for updating, but for now ... it is
http://www.weatherroanoke.com/location- ... r-list.csv

This is a complete file ... to be loaded as custom file.
I may do future updates as add-on.

Right click, don't just click on above link ... it may not work as it is shortened in display.

The new stations are:

KCGC Crystal River FL
KPVF Placerville CA
KX40 Inverness FL
KLZZ Lampasas TX* (update ID)
KIXA Halifax NC
KEDC Travis TX
KBAN Bridgeport CA
KY51 Viroqua MI
KPSO Pegosa Springs CO
KPAN Payson AZ
KCVH Hollister CA
K04W Hinckley MN
KBXK Buckeye AZ
KMRT Maryville OH
KY70 Ionia MI
KGBK OIL PLATFORM, MS (Gulf)
KMYT OIL PLATFORM, MS
KEMK OIL PLATFORM, TX
KINP OIL PLATFORM, LA
K022 Columbia CA
K6R3 Cleveland TX
KXFL Palm Coast FL

These will NOT plot unless you have this file. It has ALL cumulative updates from the past.

Of course, BACKUP your original file in case there is a problem.

Hi Wally,

PATQ in Atqasuk Burnell, Alaska should be at 70.467N, 157.433W (-157.433).

The csv file worked! Thanks!

Wally,

In addition to PATQ which plots in sw Alaska instead of the north slope, CXZC (Moosonee) plots in the Gulf of Mexico. It should be 51.30N, 80.62W

Thanks for the PATQ correction. That was in the database before I started making changes. Easy to fix, though. It's good to have other eyes on this.

CXZC was correct in my table. The new upload (Sunday Feb. 7) should have both correct for sure, now.

For 2.0x

http://www.weatherroanoke.com/location- ... r-list.csv

Right click, don't just click ON above link ... it may not work as it is shortened in display.

Backup previous file, in case you need to restore it.

If you notice some major city plot is "pre-empted" by a very nearby station, then go to your digatmos.pri file and add the major city ID. For example, for me, Murphreesboro TN used to plot and "crowd out" Nashville TN ... until I added KBNA (Nashville) to the .pri file. This may happen to other cities like Boise, ID. If you want to FORCE it to plot add it.

Thanks, Wally

KFTN is actually Faith Ranch (in the middle of no where ... a private ranch! ... southwest corner of Dimmit county near the Webb/ Maverick cty line, not at all at Carrizo Springs). Really fills in a gap for me...hope this AWIS is well maintained!

I'm amazed at some of the "small" places showing up in METAR reports.

About Carizzo Springs reference, it's just the info attached by NOAA at
http://www.nws.noaa.gov/ndm/masterfiles ... onInfo.txt
Is there a small town more near KFTN?
