Should we make Wally's version official? Sounds like he's done a great job keeping up on the changes.

I think it should be made official! It's good to have somebody that keeps up with all the changes they are always throwing at us:)

For DA2000
http://www.weatherroanoke.com/DAdigatmos.stn

If you get the DA2000 file, be sure to RENAME the file to digatmos.stn before putting into main DA folder.

And folks, RECOMPILE under FILE menu or none of these changes will occur.

Okay, it's time for an update. The following IDs/airports have been added or updated (exactly 2 months since last update creation).

KGYH Greenville SC
KSRE Seminole OK*
Kalispell MT*
Paynesville MN* (was new, then ID changed)
Slayton MN*
Reidsville NC
Oakdale LA*
Sutton/Braxton WV
Galliano LA
Cumberland MD

* means ID change (still won't plot unless updated)

This update has all updates so far.

For DAWS...

For DA2000
http://www.weatherroanoke.com/DAdigatmos.stn

Put into main directory of software.

Remember rename DAdigatmos.stn to digatmos.stn for DA2000
Recompile tables under FILE menu for either DAWS or DA2000.

Interestingly, it seems there aren't as many updates/new stations by NOAA/FAA as is often the case. Still, these are new/updated.

KTWT Sturgis KY
KBIJ Blakely GA*
K25T Phillips Oil Plat TX
KCKP Cherokee IA
K2F8 Bastrop LA
KSIF Rockingham NC*
K3A6 Newhall CA

* means ID update. But the effect is the same. They will not plot anymore unless you update.

There really are a few more that I have ignored all along because they are usually VERY minor fields within a mile or two of major fields. And I didn't want their plots to "get in the way" (without having to put them on the low priority plot list file).

This update has all updates so far.

For DAWS...

For DA2000
http://www.weatherroanoke.com/DAdigatmos.stn

Put into main directory of software.

Remember rename DAdigatmos.stn to digatmos.stn for DA2000
Recompile tables under FILE menu for either DAWS or DA2000.

Well, I'm sure as many of you think you've just downloaded the latest file, here is another update.

Read prior messages for instructions.

Here they are:

KDRM Drummond Island MI
KHAI Three Rivers MI
KDIJ Driggs ID
KJKA Gulf Shores AL
KEKQ Monticello KY
KM19 Newport AR
K8A0 Albertville AL
K3I2 Point Pleasant-Mason Co WV
K27D Canby-Myers Fld MN

For DAWS...
http://www.weatherroanoke.com/digatmos.stn
For DA2000
http://www.weatherroanoke.com/DAdigatmos.stn

Remember, you probably need to use SHIFT-CLICK or CONTROL-CLICK to go directly to disk, though I suppose any saving technique works.

This file includes all prior updates. It's good to see then increase the density of reporting stations.

Well, it turns out that whenever you do a recompile stations, it also recompiles your radar config file.
So, if you have recompiled since getting the radar file fix for Nebraska
http://www.weatherroanoke.com/digatmos.nxa
get it again.
or...

The way to fix this permanently, is to d'load the LATEST digatmos.stn file...
http://www.weatherroanoke.com/digatmos.stn
save and recompile.

It now has TIF as LNX for the Nebraska radar and future recompiles will have the radar correct from now on.

The latest surface additions are...
K2G4 Oakland MD (Garrett Co)
K1P1 Plymouth NH
K0J4 Florala AL
KMWO Middletown OH
KCNB Canby MN (Myers Field)

Usually not enough for an update, but since I needed to correct the Thedford Nebraska radar, it needed to be done.

Again, if you don't update one way or another, the surface stations AND the Thedford, NE radar WILL NOT PLOT (radar part only for DAWS -and Fusion??).

Well, it's time to "keep up to date" on station IDs.

This is updated as of Oct. 2, 2006

Changes since last post. The files below have all cumulative updates.

Rockingham NY
Berthoud Pass CO
Polk - Self Strip LA
Lewistown PA
Grinnel IA
Stevensville MD (Bay Bridge)
Ridgely MD
Cambridge MD
Southland Field LA
Marshfield MA*
Cleburne TX
Thedford NE (surface, not radar)

* denotes ID change rather than addition (but old ID will NOT plot, so change is needed)

For DAWS... (and I guess, FUSION)
http://www.weatherroanoke.com/digatmos.stn
For DA2000
http://www.weatherroanoke.com/DAdigatmos.stn

Put into main directory of software.

Remember rename DAdigatmos.stn to digatmos.stn for DA2000
Recompile tables under FILE menu for either DAWS or DA2000.
