Station id's

Post by lrdheat »

Thanks for your work!

2 of your stations are in error:

KMQA should read KMQS
KEZJ should read KDZJ

By Jove you're right! Thanks for the catches.
KMQA and KEZJ were entered correctly in the .stn file, with the right letters. It was just my post that "slipped a letter."

And I fixed the CA to CO for Ellicot. I'll upload change for that, though it shouldn't make any real difference in compilation and use.

Thanks again!

I know it's only been six weeks, but here's another update to the .stn file for stations plotted. This includes the many previous additions.

New and adapted IDs
KAIK Aiken SC
KOXI Knox TX
KGGE Georgetown SC
KBNL Barnwell SC
KLRO Mt Pleaseant SC
KJZI Charleston Exec SC
KJFZ Richlands VA*
KAPY Zapata TX*

* means ID changed only (won't plot anymore unless you do update).

File is at

Remember the good practice of always backing up old file.

You're right! But, have no fear ... it's right in the .stn file.
The OXI station is Knox, TX - I've edited the post to reflect full accuracy for the list. The .stn has been fully right all along.
Thanks!

Wally, it's a great job you're doing, but I'm a little confused about versioning. I've just updated to ver 1.40d of Equinox which comes with digatmos.stn edition 64 dated 1 May 2006. The latest change number is 64. Downloading your 8 Dec 2008 update, I notice it is edition 55A giving two dates - 11 July 2005 (June 20, 2006) - and the latest change number is 55.

Does this mean there are updates in edition 64 which are not in your updated 55A, and vice versa?

I'm an Australian user, and notice that there are many updates needed for our region. I'm happy to make the changes and make the file available for other Aussie users, but this could result in yet another version.

Keeping digatmos.stn up to date is important to the integrity of the program, and I'm wondering how best to do this for USA users as well as the rest of the world. Is it best to feed the information to you, preferably in .stn file format so it can be cut and pasted? And can we resolve the versioning question, so there is certainty that there is only one current up-to-date version.

Laurier,

Yes, well I've been just editing the old files as I go, and didn't think to make notations on version. I think I'll change that in next version, so that the numerical order makes some sense.

About changes for Australia, I would be happy to include any updates you have. Feel free to update the latest I have, then let me know (send it to me, etc.), and we'll try to keep things up to date as widely as possible.

Yes, it's very important to have updates, so things WILL PLOT!! ;)

Another term of only six weeks, and we have enough changes.
It's like they put South Carolina on the map.

KCDN Camden, SC
KLKR Lancaster, SC
KARW Beaufort, SC (County)
KHYW Conway, SC
KCQW Cheraw, SC
KMKS Moncks Corner, SC
KLUX Laurens, SC
KRBW Walterboro, SC
KHFJ Monett, MO
KCDA Lyndonville, VT
KBBH Branson, MO
KMAO Marion, SC
KCKI Kingstree, SC
KDCM Chester, SC
KEOE Newberry, SC

I have only done changes for the US. Anyone who wishes to help with Int'l ... speak up.
This update includes all past updates, which is HUGE in the last year or so.

See prior posts for info on installation updating.
