RELEASE: Digital Atmosphere V1.0f - new patch

Post by Tim Vasquez »

Slowly getting back up to speed.

I have a new Digital Atmosphere Workstation patch: V1.0f
http://216.71.158.243/dl/dapatch.exe (3.7 MB)
This works with any previous version of Workstation, found at
http://216.71.158.243/dl/da-std.exe

There have been vast improvements to the radar algorithms this time around:
* NEXRAD: Inflate errors have been fielded out for contract work and are (presumably) repaired. Digital Atmosphere now imports all NEXRAD files I had set aside as "unimportable".
* NEXRAD: Read beyond end of file error has been fixed. This is also related to the decompression work and was caused by a faulty copy function.
* NEXRAD: Digital Atmosphere now properly "remembers" what fields you plotted, whether from the Internet or from a file load. In earlier versions a file load would be plotted, but View Radar Data would call up the last image retrieved from the Internet.
* NEXRAD: Added a Radar > View Text Messages that allows you to read any alphanumeric data (such as adaptable parameters from the radar) that were embedded in the downloaded file.
* An extra 30 days of evaluation, compliments of the house.

If you see any more radar errors please bring them to my attention, and ZIP and E-mail me the faulty datafile (http://www.weathergraphics.com/contact.htm).

Probably in the next patch I will add an algorithm to force Digital Atmosphere to prevent overlap of radar pixels by a radar further away. I am also looking at adding Level II import capability. I will also review and fix all the other items brought up by everyone here.

Sorry about being away for the past couple of weeks -- we had an emergency to take care of.

Tim,

I am getting an error "forbidden" when trying to download the 1.0f dapatch.exe from the link in the post.

I also tried the other link (original download) and getting same error.

Thanks

I heard from Tim. Apparently there has been some issues with the ISP and he has switched ISP.

To download the patch please use the following URL:

http://69.57.153.239/dl/file_name so for the patch use:

http://69.57.153.239/dl/dapatch.exe.

Well, we're getting the 30-day "expiration" warnings now. I hope we hear something in the near future - :D

UPDATE (May 15):
By now, I guess we are all dead in the water. Anyone hear from Tim? :?
