San Juan radar

Post by Roy Leep »

The San Juan radar using TJUA or JUA does not plot and gives an internet 404 error.

Anyone confirm this?

Roy,

It looks like TJUA is not being archived on the COD server. You'll need to change the URL for BREF1 in your digatmos.rad file to the following...http://weather.noaa.gov/pub/SL.us008001 ... @f/sn.last

I have gotten it to work ... only by changing radar server from default to Univ. Northern Iowa (bottom choice), AND by doing at least one other site additionally (two or more total or it won't work). It will be slow, but it works.

Be sure to change back to default or your "gets" will stay very slow.

Ummm...I'll have to think about that. I hate to get too far into changing files and defaults when I don't know what I'm doing.

Wally...do you have a script for hurricane tracks? I can't find this in the list of parameters.

Thanks for the help.

Nope. But I'm gonna make that my next project or effort in DAWS.
