Convective Outlook plotting issue

Post by Baroclinicity »

After plotting numerous convective outlooks over the past few days, I've noticed DAWS tends to skip points where the station callsign begins with a number instead of a letter (such as "9V9" or "7R4"). The result is often missing line segments of the outlook. I verified that those two stations are in the DAWS station table.

Here is an example of an outlook containing those type of callsigns:

Code: Select all

GEN TSTMS ARE FCST TO THE RIGHT OF A LINE FROM 30 NE CRP LRD
...CONT... 15 S P07 MAF 35 SE LBB ADM FYV UMN 30 SE SZL SPI MMO 25
NW AZO 55 NNE MTC ...CONT... 10 NE ROC ALB CON 40 SE AUG ...CONT...
20 SE SBY NHK LYH HKY AND LGC LUL 15 SSE 7R4.
The last line segment ends at LUL (in this case) and a line from LUL to 15 SSE of 7R4 isn't plotted.

Code: Select all

GEN TSTMS ARE FCST TO THE RIGHT OF A LINE FROM JMS FAR BRD 15 ENE
EAU MCW SUX 9V9 BIS JMS.
Since "9V9" wasn't the last station in the second GEN TSTM group, it looks like DAWS draws a line from SUX to BIS.[/code]
