SFUK Europe lightning will be in Digital Atmosphere

To all of our European friends: Digital Atmosphere will support SFUK30/SFUK31 (SFLOC) lightning data. Here is the most recent plot for 22Z. This is actually a 6-hour plot, with current lightning in red and older lightning in gray. Diameter of plot is proportional to lightning frequency (to a max of 40 pixels). You will also have the option to plot current storms only from the latest bulletin.

If you have any suggestions on how you want it to plot you may make them now.

I'm trying to get a release out for this weekend.

Tim,

The SFUK30/31 plotting is good. Only comment - is there any chance of a colour fade for the time period since the current lightning - something along the lines of :

but theres no spherics onthere at the moment, but the grid on the left will give you an idea.
Thanks
Phil

Good Tim idea but or is the bond to download the data this version is such only available on the new version of DA? Otherwise here a chart of impacts of the lightning has 30 minutes

I am not sure what you mean by "bond". The lightning changes are only for the upcoming version of Digital Atmosphere to be released within the next few days.

One source of the lightning data is:

http://www.atmos.albany.edu/weather/dat ... yn/sfuk30*
http://www.atmos.albany.edu/weather/dat ... yn/sfuk31*
(exact links depend on the date)

The scheduler is being rewritten from scratch in this new version.
