AP: Bush Wins Race As Kerry Concedes

I`m very sad and deeply disappointed, but the way John Kerry makes his decision tells me: He is a strong character. He would have been a good president.

Dear Stefan:

Why are you sad and disappointed? Mr Kerry is a competent senator, but his track record of mistrust of American power and it's use in the world is very troubling. His insistance on not going to war without the assistance and approval of countries like France implies that countries that do not agree with the U.S. are right and the U.S. is wrong. This assumes that France is not posessed of motives and interests that may be less than altruistic. One need only ask who sold Iraq the nuclear reactor at Osirak, that Israel felt was necessary to destroy.

Cordially,
Carl Sidor
