Just wanted to say how great of a book this really is. It covers significant weather events ranging from snowstorms to tornado outbreaks, and from extreme heat to extreme cold. I especially liked the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald and Miami snow stories. The thing of it is this book doesn't just tell the story, it explains the story as the various meteorological features responsible for each event are explained through an interprtation of numerous weather charts.

So I highly recommend this book to any weathernut! You won't be disappointed with your purchase.

Thanks, I appreciate the recommendation. I'll move this to the weather talk area so it fits in better.
