Auto .bat

Post by Ian »

Hi Jeff,

I have created my batch file .cmd, but need a little help with the command for auto.

I plan to run on of my .bat files every 30 min, can i do this using the AT command in command prompt?

If so how?

Thanks,

Ian

Ian,

Sorry for the slow reply.

I believe the AT command will do what you want. Check the Windows Scheduled Tasks section in the "Start > Control Pannel > Scheduled Tasks" section. That should explain how to set that up.

Not seeing your batch file text, you will probably need a separate batch file for every time if the PCG data file is different since the PCG data file name is part of the WINGRIDDS automatic command line.

Good luck,
Jeff

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for that. I have managed to to do it now.

I have made my batch file, and it works well. I now run it in auto using some software i found on the net - system schedular - really good, easy and FREE.

On your wish list for wingridds, have you got an XML output planned !!

I know it's alot of work, and what do have created is really great - must of been a nightmare coventing GRIB and being able to gernerate those images, but you have done really well.

I have been trying to use DEGRIB - to covent grib to XML - it only works for US locations. Need UK.

Perhaps when get time i will post my batch file to give other a helping hand.
