If anyone else is having the problem from comcast trying to get to Jeff's home page try the following. Because comcast.net hasn't figured out (at least in south Florida) how to resolve home.comcast.net from a comcast.net account, you must enter the IP for home.comcast.net which from a non-comcast account is 204.127.198.24/~jkrob/ as the browser URL.
And Jeff, if you want to, change the download link referals on your page from addresses like
Thanks for the note. Let me get this straight - you can get to the web site but you can't get to the download files? I'll put a bogus file with the ip address instead of the domain name & see how it works for everyone.
It just seems to be a comcast issue. I can get to the site and download every fine from all over ISP locations. From comcast, I have to enter the IP for the home page and copy the shortcut that refers to the download file links and replace "home.comcast.net" with 204.127.198.24 then the download file path but that works fine.
It's a comcast issue, not your issue. It's just that comcast subscribers may have problems like I did and may find it easier to use a link that has the IP coded into it instead of having to cut and paste.
At 3:39 PM EST I am still unable to download the support files. The following error message comes up:
Page URL Not Found!!
The requested page does not exist on this server. The URL you typed or followed is either outdated or inaccurate.
I had no problem downloading the PCGRIDDS32 Beta 11-01-2004 or PCGRIDDS32 Beta Release Notes files. I just have not been able to get to the PCGRIDDS32 Support Files.
By the way, I'm not a comcast customer so I think the problem is not just with comcast customers.
