Hi,

Is there free GRIB data archive online for Europe for the past years? Free archive for raw SYNOP/METAR/UPPERAIR/sat data?

I guess there is no such.... then... is it possible to sell such data if you have it?

Angel,

I'm not sure about UKMET data, or other European data...but if it is American data, I don't really see why you couldn't sell the grib archive if you wanted. You archived it:)

I've no interest in the stuff (in the past) myself as it is output from a computer instead of actual weather, but I'm sure there are some that would find a GFS or Eta archive of interest so they could compare it with what actually happened.

Hi Pat,

Yes. The raw observation data is a little bit more value. The GRIB data is useful directly to feed some model for simulation and some researchers are searching for both raw/grib.

I added new things to my site:

If you have time please visit it.

Hi Angel,

I just stopped by the site...looks like you guys had a wonderful time of it on May 24 this year:) It is always fun watching storms do their thing!

Got a kick out of your cyberchase as well!!:) There have been many times when I looked at a radar like that and wished I could be there to see what sort of mischief the storm is up to..

Looks like the site is going well! Thanks for reminding me to stop by!

Hi Angel,

Congratulations regarding your first client!

I also noticed METEOS is creating some fantastic maps for an Italian site!!

Great work with both programs!

Talk with you later,

Pat
