I downloaded these maps and installed them in the appropriate directory and made the necessary changes to the PCGMODE.DAT file.

When I use the BSMP command and type in COUNTY, the view just plots up lat/long lines.

Is there something else that needs to be changed like a color pallette?

OK...which map file is listed in the MAPFILE.DAT file? The counties are not a separate callable item...it is part of the map selected (in this case, COUNTY.MAP). You must list the COUNTY.MAP to the the counties.
