Hi all,

I recently found http://weather.noaa.gov/fax/index.shtml and its great because it has a lot of wx charts from the WAFS however the coverage of the middle east/asian region is not very complete. I was just wondering if anyone knew where I could find a whole list of T4/facsimile charts produced from the WAFS? Because the charts on http://weather.noaa.gov/fax/index.shtml seem to have been taking from other organisations like the London Forecast center so where are the origional sources?!

Any help is greatly appreciated,

Arman

http://aviation.weathersa.co.za/intsigwx.htm#

Significant weather and wind grids. They have zoom views of the SIG WX charts.

This isn't much, and not all that different from what you already found on the other site. I'll keep my eye open for other links.

Thanks again for the links, useful but still kinda the same. I just can't seem to find any other sources, is it just me or do they not exist?! I checked the ICAO site and apparently according to some of their documentation on the WAFS. Electronic versions of all weather charts was implemented from 2002-2003 and they should be 'readily available' online at dedicated WAFC sites and others?!

Thanks again, any help, highly appreciated.

Try this link:
ftp://tgftp.nws.noaa.gov/fax/master_index_frame.html

Charts that start with PWG, PWR, & PWZ might be of interest to you (different level wind and temp forecasts), the PWZ charts are probably the best for your area. They aren't zoomed, but they do include Mid East coverage. Charts like QWQA00 just barely cover the UAE.

There are other global charts (marked with AVN on the right) you my find interesting. Many of these may have been discontinued, however.

Hey, thanks again for all the useful links! I don't thinkI'd be lucky enough to find anymore pages than the ones listed here, so thanks again. If I find anymore I'll definetly put the links here. If anyone has any, keep adding them! lol.

Thanks all,
