The previous posts were kind of random scripts. This is an example of a large script I run after ooz and12z.
1. Depending on what type of smoothing you use, Barnes for example, will determine how long it takes to run through each individual script.
2. The greater the area, the longer it takes to complete.
3. If it is surface data being assim, and you are using Barnes or Cressman, it can take many minutes to run. (Not to mention your grid size which also can slow it down.
4. Depending on your machine, your times will be different. I am currently using a 4 year old laptop that runs on diesel fuel and the longest script i have takes about 7 min to run. Your settings and your machine, will determine how long it takes for you!!!
5. I do save the files, I have removed those lines to keep from confusing people new to this stuff. You can skip the rest of the #5 if you are familiar with saving stuff for DA. The general format for saving on your machine is to locate the file that stores all the DA stuff: it may look like this:

C:\Users\name of your computer goes here\AppData\Local\DigitalAtmosphere2017

The "name of..." is going to be the name of YOUR computer.

I save all of the below in one file, you can name what ever you want, I have it stored as indexplus.dsf

The previous 2 Sched. scripts are run after they Loose the Balloons, usually after at least an hour after 00 and 12z. Sometimes when I am impatient will run 50 minutes after these times. This script can be run hourly, you can of course delete items you don't care about.

Below the hourly one I have included Most of the UA stuff I have used. It is listed below the red UA. I have my DA set at surface level. So I do not have sfc after product,plf. If you mistakenly or intentional have it set at say 850 mb, then you will rec. plots from your selected surface level. I don't include it, it gives me freedom to change levels, without have to write another script for different levels.
That about does it. I'm done!
