Alona, what you are asking to do may be quite difficult and beyond the ability of the Digital Atmosphere/Equinox scripting language to do as I don't think that the format you have there is compatible with the program and would need to be translated into something it can understand.

Is it possible that you can use the built in data retrieval and import features of the program to get data from one of those internet sites that have the data in the proper form already??

Noting is impossible, its just a quetion of how difficult something is to do. What you're looking at doing would probably require a program written in something like VisualBASIC or such that could take the data you get from your satellite feed file and then translate it into a format that Digital Atmosphere understands.

Without knowing the format of both files (I'm assuming you are capturing the sat data to a file and working with it that way and not trying to grab it as it streams in - that adds another whole layer of difficulty otherwise) I can't say how hard the translation might be. What type of data is this METAR? I could probably help you find someone to create such a program but it might be better, faster and easier to hook the PC to the net if at all possible.
