I am slightly confused when you say 'all is deg F and inches'
The Analysis pull down menu gives deg C and mb (HPa)
To change any script to deg C, change 'degf' into 'degC' and the script will show deg C
In a script SLP will give Sea Level Pressure in mb (HPa)
The Analysis menu can be altered and changed by opening digatmos.mnu file in a text editor eg Notepad or similar and modifying to your requirements.
Always save the original file to somewhere else as a precaution before modifying the file. Once you are happy with the changes it is ok to delete the original file.
