Need for a 700mb humidity script

Hi Guys,

I'm new to scripting and was hoping someone could show me how to construct a simple script to plot humidity at 700mb highlighting the 70% and 90% contour. In addition I'd like to shade/cross hatch the 70% values in grey and the 90% values in green (in order to depict probable areas of cloud/precipitation). I suspect that the script is not a complicted one (forgive me if I'm wrong), so if I had an idea about how to go about producing it, it would point me in the right direction for future efforts.

Any help would be appreciated.

You could try this and make changes for your system. Colorizes the dry and higher humidity only

Another possibility, based on my own colors.

If you change FILS=0 to FILS=1 you can use the script over satellite images.

This isn't exactly what you're looking for but you might want to give it a try. Just be sure that your background map is white.

Hi guy's. I thought I'd already done this on the forum, but since I cant see the posting here, I'd just like to say a public thanks to Kinetic, Fred and Texsky for the very useful scripts. They've all gone to a good home!
